BACK IN BETHLEHEM

Posted: November 27, 2015

We have quite a few things on our Wish List for this year:

  1. Get our picture taken with the REAL Santa Claus
  2. Try literally everything and anything pumpkin-flavored
  3. Collaborate with our favorite local merry-makers at Touchstone Theatre
Follies 2010

While Alexis continues to work her way solo through #2, we are pleased to announce that The Sugarpills are back in Bethlehem and BACK with the Christmas City Follies! Now in its 16th iteration, Touchstone Theatre's annual love letter to the season and the city will run December 3-20 in Bethlehem, PA. This year will include Kevin on stage as Musical Director, and Alexis in the backstage as Production Stage Manager. They may not both be singing, but that doesn't mean there will be any less spirit going around!

Head on over to Touchstone Theatre's website for more specifics, like times and tickets, and be sure to Like them on Facebook for behind-the-scenes mayhem and the like. You may even recognize us in the mix for their Sixteen Days of Spoilers (hint: we are the same day as French Hens).

Our BIGGEST Christmas Wish is to see some familiar faces in the audience, so come on out and support both our friends and US!

We Have a Winner!

And the winner is...

Forget that old chestnut, let Frosty continue to ramble the streets of town, because we have a winner: "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays" has won the hearts of you, the fans, and has earned a spot on our next album (details coming soon)!

Thank you for voting, and for your continued support and spirit. Now if you will pardon us, we are all headed out toward the Pacific, where the traffic is terrific!

Eggnog-excited-ly,
<3 The Sugarpills

For all you data heads, here's the final breakdown, out of 46 Total Votes:

There's No Place Like Home For the Holidays - 14
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer - 13
The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting) - 8
Sleigh Ride - 7
Frosty the Snowman - 4

All good things must come to an end, friends and fans...

...and this is the final piece of our 2012 record release party footage. But we saved the most fun for last!

Kevin's always had a soft spot for the 1974 stop-motion kid's classic "The Year Without a Santa Clause," and in JP he found the perfect other half of the Miser Brothers. Fill in some minion vocals and hot brass, and you've got the ingredients for a rockin' rendition of "Snow Miser / Heat Miser."

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of Holidays!

It looks like most of you want to be happy in a million ways: "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays" has a pretty decent lead, with Rudolph and Frosty bringing up the rear. Kids' songs these days, man!

Reminder that this poll closes at MIDNIGHT PST today, so hit us up and vote once your gifts are attended to.
